Doyle Bramhall II is a blues guitarist who might best be known for his collaborations with high profile artists like Eric Clapton and Roger Waters. Born and raised in Austin, Texas to a musician father who played drums with revered bluesmen LIghtnin' Hopkins and Freddie King, Bramhall learned how to play the guitar at a young age. One of the few guitarists who plays his instrument strung upside-down, Bramhall plays left-handed but his guitar is strung for a right-handed player. This gives his playing a distinctive sound and timbre that's rare in many guitarists.
