Join Fiona for a private tour to see some of Washington, DC’s most recognizable sculptures in the Hirshhorn collection found outside in the beautiful, sunken Sculpture Garden. The Sculpture Garden includes sculptures by Auguste Rodin, Alberto Giacometti, Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore, Beverly Pepper, Jeff Koons, and Yoko Ono. This walking tour will share the stories behind the sculptures and the museum’s founding while strolling through one of the most beautiful sculpture gardens on the Mall. This tour is outdoors, and does not go into the museum. The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden is one of the most unique museums on the National Mall, filled with modern and contemporary art, houses more than 5,000 paintings and 3,000 sculptures. The uniquely recognizable, round building was designed by Gordon Bunshaft as a modern sculpture, and was opened in 1974.
