YOU NEVER KNOW

Directed by: Martin Smekal

“You Never Know” is a documentary about Polish paragliding star and 2013 world Champion Klaudia Bulgakow’s journey to the top in paragliding.

Klaudia Bulgakow has been paragliding since 1999. Through persistence, dedication and great passion she became one of the most successful female pilots - she won World Champion title 2013, European podium 2016, World Cup Superfinal Podium 2018 and much more. But it’s not only about the medals and podium places. The journey in pursuit of personal excellence is just as important, as are the friends you meet on the way and those you influence and motivate to pursue their own goals.

SEA BIRDS

Directed by: Ash Ball, Ed Coney

SEA BIRDS is an inspiring story that explores the lives of 25 ladies who swim in the ocean together everyday. No matter how much experience you’ve had in life it can be as unpredictable as the ocean. Pauline and Mina demonstrate that there’s always a hand of friendship that will find you and hold you when you least expect it. Side by side, or bum cheek to bum cheek, the SEA BIRDS have discovered that the cold water is unpleasant, that it’s hard to be pretentious when you’re in the nude and that in the middle of the ocean you just might find the freedom you’re searching for.

LUCY STIRLING: OLYMPIC DREAM

Directed by: Matt Raimondo

Lucy Stirling has climbed things since before she could walk. At age 12 she started in the climbing gym and quickly joined a junior squad. Since then she has not stopped climbing! This short film by Australian filmmaker Matt Raimondo follows Lucy as she sets her sights on the Olympic Dream.

JUST BE

Directed by: Susanna Kosa

"Just Be" is a short movie about the art of living wide rather than living long. "Life's short, they say. But...maybe it's just long enough, if you live it right." Yes, it's two girls mountain biking, but the message is transferable to everyone, no matter which activity you choose outdoors.

A WINTER AFFAIR: EAST WEST

Directed by: Jase Hancox

New Zealand’s Janina Kuzma, Anna Smoothy, and Japan's Ayako Kuroda, cross New Zealand’s Southern Alps over the Main Divide from East to West starting at the Liebigs. The ladies are confronted with challenging terrain and weather conditions and a last-minute change to their plans prepares the team to exit out on a different route. Disaster strikes when a member of the team falls ill and is airlifted out, leaving the teams remaining two girls to complete the expedition. What is concerning to the ladies is the visible disappearance of snow and ice on the glaciers they cross. The team reflects on the decline of the glaciers in the region as the ice is changing dramatically from year to year.
