This event is reserved for students who are currently attending Georgetown University Summer Sessions undergraduate and graduate courses taking place during the Main Second Session as listed on our website.

Join Summer Sessions on Friday, June 19th at 1:00pm for a volunteer opportunity at the Capital Area Food Bank! You can learn more about the importance of volunteers here.

Students will volunteer at Capital Area Food Bank which is the largest organization in the Washington metro area working to solve hunger and its companion problems: chronic undernutrition, heart disease, and obesity. By partnering with over 450 community organizations in DC, MD, and VA, as well as delivering food directly into hard to reach areas, the CAFB is helping nearly half a million people each year get access to good, healthy food.

Student who wish to travel as a group to the event will meet at the front gates of campus at 11:35 PM. A Summer Sessions staff member will meet students and will be wearing a Summer Sessions t-shirt.

For students who wish to meet at the event, please arrive at Capital Area Foodbank no later than 12:30pm.
