If you dont know his name, youve probably seen his work. Aniekan Udofia is one of the Districts most profilic artistshaving created such well known public art works such as those at Bens Chili Bowl at Shaw/U street, the Duke Ellington School of the Arts building, and wall murals in SE Anacostia. His large-scale abstracts and figurative building murals depicting the urban cultural landscape have gained national press recognition in magazines such as XXL, The Source, and Vibe.

Born in Nigeria, Udofia has come to be known by many as one of the most prominent faces in the contemporary DC art scene. The artist will talk about his professional and artistic journey as it relates to the exhibition A Right to the City. This program is part of a series of artist talks related to the exhibition.
