One of the most dominating forces in Austrian football, FC Red Bull Salzburg boasts a near unrivaled legacy. Established in 1933, the club spent a large chunk of its time in the lower leagues, but managed to claw its way to the top division in 1953. The team hit topp form in 1993-94 season when it won its first ever Austrian Bundesliga title and were runners-up in the UEFA Cup. Since then the club went to add several more Bundesliga and Austrian Cup, becoming one of the country's greatest football teams by the mid 2000s.
