George Thorogood is a guitarist who is probably best known for his hit song "Bad to the Bone" as well as for his covers of Bo Diddley's "Who Do You Love" and Hank Williams' "Move it on Over." Born and raised in Delaware, growing up Thorogood had two passions: music and baseball. He was quite good at the latter--so good, in fact, that his band, The Destroyers, forced him to quit baseball to focus solely on music. The dedication paid off when George Thorogood and the Destroyers released their eponymously-titled debut album in 1977. The LP managed to catch some buzz and soon the band had built a national fan base that was extremely keen on the group's characteristic boogie rock sound. Though Thorogood's fame has faded significantly since his glory days in the late-1970s and 1980s, he still releases music and tours, playing to his enduring fan base of aging music aficionados.
