Built to the designs of noted architecture company Boller Brothers, The Criterion serves as a prime Oklahoma City landmark since the year 1921. Known for its appealing French-inspired foyer and its sprawling auditorium hall built with an Art Deco-style balcony, it has hosted some of the finest concerts and live musical galas over the decades. The performing arts venue underwent a major design overhaul in the year 1973 and ever since, continues to host an eclectic program of performances by noted bands and solo musicians. In the past, the famous American gospel singer Kirk Franklin has graced the stage at Criterion.
