Steeped into history for being the only dance hall in Canterbury, Westgate Hall has occupied its current location since the late 18th Century. Through the early 19th Century till the end of World War II, the hall was also used for military purposes. Today, it serves as a venue for a number of local events and it boasts of a standing capacity of more than 500, making it perfect for concerts, exhibitions and trade fairs. In addition to the main hall, Westgate Hall is home to smaller meeting rooms which can be used for formal gatherings including corporate seminars. Owning to its historic roots and vintage appeal, Westgate Hall has also been a venue for many local weddings.
