Rockaway Borough Historical Museum is housed in an ancient structure dating back to the early years of the 19th Century. The museum building was constructed by Morris County's noted citizen, Colonel Joseph Jackson. The museum uses modern technology and equipment to showcase the mansion's eventful past and the town's rich history. It is a part of the Rockaway Borough Public Library and houses some interesting exhibits which comprise objects, photographs, books, textiles and time-worn fittings used by the family members of Dr George Foster and Stephen Joseph Jackson.
