This erstwhile residence-turned-pub restaurant located in Southgate has gained the reputation of a warm neighborhood bar since the last few years. On first glance, it appears to be something right out of an Anne of Green Gables book, surrounded by babbling brooks and the scenic Goffs Park nearby. As you step inside, you realize this is indeed an unpretentious place to hang out with friends, good beer and like-minded people. The place is flooded with warm light bouncing off wooden rafters and chairs, with oriental-type rugs sprawled across the floor. The ingredients are locally sourced and food is prepared fresh, so you can choose from some smoked BBQ bufallo chicken wings or some robust steaks and burgers. Goffs also serves pies, puddings and the classic Sunday roast.
