Poe Park is home to the Edgar Allan Poe Cottage, which is part of the National Register of Historic Places. This cottage was once the abode of the famous American author, Edgar Allan Poe, and his wife, and he penned his renowned works Eureka, Annabel Lee and The Bells while staying here. Poe Park also features a visitor's center that conducts community workshops in topics like Tai Chi, Yoga, Zen Art, dance, storytelling and recycled art among other topics. During certain months, a farmers' market thrives at the southern end of the park.
