For the past several decades, the Kupferberg Center for the Performing Arts has promoted and encouraged talented artists in the fields of music as well as dance. The center has three venues which play host to fine cultural performances by the New York Philharmonic Society, Billy Joel and The Dance Theatre of Harlem. The Center organizes conferences, seminars, lectures and political debates on a regular basis. It also conducts workshops and classes, which are specially conducted for children and their parents. All programs explore the diverse worlds of dance and music, which range from classical music, jazz to orchestra. Catering to about 350,000 patrons annually, the center also has facilities for the hearing impaired.
