In order to educate the public about the environment and preserve nature as well as the wildlife of the vicinity, the Manatee Observation and Education Center was established. It mostly focuses on the conservation of marine species in the local habitats like Manatee which are known to be sea cows. A number of programs are held here throughout the year such as summer camp, high school programs, wildlife boat tours and many more.
