Schladming is a beautiful resort town in the state of Styria. It earlier used to be a mining town and is a major tourist destination today. The city offers a variety of winter sports and adventure tours. Skiing, mountain climbing, hiking and tobogganing are popular activities. The UCI Mountainbike World Cup is also organized here. The town is well connected to the rest of the country through public transport. Small shops and restaurants have sprung up to serve the tourists.
