No one just stumbles across the Room. The entrance is off a dark alley east of Cahuenga. The long, narrow bar is dark and, by 10 p.m., filled with those in the know who like their bar without attitude. The youngish crowd is treated to a DJ who spins all - rock classics, soul, R&B - nearly everything but Top 40 pop. There's a picture of Frank Sinatra behind the bar and, once a year on his birthday, the place becomes Old Blue Eyes fan club central.
