Open since 1889 and formerly the Walter Rothschild Zoological Museum, the Natural History Museum at Tring exhibits a vast collection of fossils and skeletons of extinct animals, reptiles and birds. The museum was earlier a private institute run by Walter Rothschild. The collection here is exhibited across six independent galleries, each with their own distinctive collection. Featured exhibits here include the Zebra-horse hybrid foal, the Tasmanian Wolf, the Great Auk, and more. The museum is a division of the Natural History Museum.
