The passion of one man is now a beautiful and magical collection of some of the most amazing trees in the world. Wilfrid Fox started planting these exotic trees in 1938 on the landmass called Winkworth Arboretum. His love for shrubs and trees has resulted in this amazing spot which can be visited during any time of the year. With various picnic spots to relax at during summer, the Arboretum is at its peak during spring, with magnolias, bluebells and azaleas in full bloom.
