Spread across 1200 hectares (2965.26 acres), Parco Urbano G. Bassani was a royal game reserve. Segregated into many green areas, it overlooks the River Po and is near the ancient Renaissance walls. It features the University Sport Centre, a municipal swimming pool, Leisure Centre for Senior Citizens and many other sports and social facilities. It also has biking paths and walking trails.
