With a history that dates back to 1858, Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church is regarded to be one of the earliest Lutheran congregations in the region. The current building is the third to be occupied by the church, and was constructed in 1906. The building features an ornate bell tower and striking architectural details. Other prominent features of the church include the historic bell and the brilliant stained-glass windows.
