Theater am Küchengarten (tak)

More than twenty years ago this house was the local public baths. But in 1987, Hanover's senior cabaret artist, Dietrich Kittner, and his wife Christel converted this location after their old Theater an der Bult (tak) had become too small. In 1993 Horst Janzen took over and now presents top artists from cabaret, comedy and chanson. It's a neatly furnished room with a good stage and 130 seats, featuring up to 180 shows every year. The theater owners also award a prize: the "Gaul von Niedersachsen" or the Horse of Lower Saxony, that goes to the best performance of the year.
