Lyndhurst is a popular tourist destination and is also sometimes known as the capital of New Forest. It is home to a number of gardens, museums, parks, cafes and galleries thus attracting a large number of travelers with varied interests. The town is marked with a number of unique and historic buildings like the Queen's House, a property owned by the crown and headquarters of the Forestry Commission. Another landmark is the Church of St Michael and All Angels. The town has a rare cultural and natural beauty and is great for a weekend break out of the city.
