The St Thomas' Church lies in the town of Ashton-in-Makerfield in Greater Manchester, England. This Anglican parish church was built in 1891 and the structure is shaped as a cruciform. Designed by F. H. Oldham, a vestry was later introduced designed by Austin and Paley. Constructed with stone, there is a nave, a clerestory, aisles, a chancel, an organ chamber, vestries and a tower. A gargoyle rests on the parapet and organ chamber is decked up with three-light windows and a rose window. This lovely shrine has been assigned a Grade II by English Heritage.
