Glasgow Central Station is one of the most significant stations of Glasgow and sees millions of passengers annually. The station itself is a heritage building, which was built in 1879. It has an august appearance because of its rustic exposed brick walls, large Victorian windows and plush interiors. Its concourse is home to various shops, ticketing offices and eateries. The station bulding is also lined with several bars and restaurants that stretch on the Union Street.
