The current building of the Nottingham railway station was first opened to public in 1904. The architecture reflects a Edwardian Baroque Revival style and was designed by Albert Edward Lambert. Built from red sandstone, terracotta and faience with Art Nouveau wrought iron gates, the structure exudes elegance and strength. The station is currently served by East Midlands Trains, CrossCountry and Northern Rail.
