Fremont Main Library

Fremont Main Library opened in 1989 and is part of the Alameda County Library. It also houses the county library's administrative offices and Maurice Marks Center for Local and California History. This modern, two-floor athenaeum features internet stations and a huge children's section. The most striking feature of this place is a lovely hanging sculpture ceiling called the "Dream Voyage" by artist Larry Kirkland. The Fukaya meeting rooms are adorned with gifts from this Japanese city. Stroll through its aisles of neatly racked books that covers various genres. Sit down and read or borrow one, whatever your need, the Fremont Main is a good source for book lovers.
