145 Sterling Street, Beacon, NY, United States, 12508
Built in the early 1730s, this Dutch-style manor has played an important part in shaping American history. Having served as a headquarters for Major General Von Steuben during the American Revolutionary Wars, the house enjoys a significant position in local tourism. In 1931, the original house was destroyed in a fire, however the Mount Gulian Society formed in 1966 restored and preserved the property to inspire and educate the youth of the nation. Needless to say, a visit here will be an enriching, educational experience.
