The Seagull is a local theater and cinema in Pakefield run by volunteers from the local community. It is also known to host regional and national touring theater companies, films and other acts. It has its own production company called The Seagull Rep. In 2009, the theater production of Macbeth featured the former model Abi Titmuss as Lady Macbeth. The theater is located in a building of Victorian origin which was converted into a theater in 1967. In 2007, the Suffolk County Council sold the theater for GBP25,00,000. It was reopened in October 2007 with a gala performance by jazz artist Liane Carroll. The venue has a seating of about 114 with a special accommodation for wheelchairs.
