Wiesbaden Hauptbahnhof is the city's iconic train station. Established in the year 1906, this historic station serves as a terminal stop at the southern tip of the old quarter. Counted as one of the largest railway stations of Hesse, it was built to the designs of noted architect Fritz Klingholz and exhibits a fine example of Neo-baroque architectural style. Nearly 500 regional and long-distance trains stop at Wiesbaden Hauptbahnhof, which has been declared as a category 2 station by the Deutsche Bahn.
