The two huge glass pyramids standing within the Søndermarken may look like art installations. In actuality, they're entrances to Cisternerne, a museum dedicated to glass art. The museum takes its name from the historic water cisterns, which it occupies. Exhibits at the museum include striking pieces of glass sculptures and stained glass art by renowned artists like Robert Jacobsen, Trondur Patursson and Peter Brandes. The rugged original interiors of the cisterns provide a great backdrop to exhibit the delicate artworks.
