The St. Nicolai-Kirche is a beautiful Romanesque church dating back to the 13th Century. After reformation took place at Föhr, the church was converted into a protestant place of worship during the 15th Century. Inside the church, there is a statue of St. Nicholas that dates back to the 14th Century. The church altar is an ornate masterpiece that was built in 1643, by John Schnitger. It shows many scenes from the life of Jesus. The Romanesque style baptismal font is another relic that is quite noteworthy- the font is made from limestone and dates back to the 12th Century. The church is surrounded by a cemetery which is home to several Baroque grave stones.
