The museum is a manifestation of the legacy of Lucas Bols, legendary manufacturer of distilled spirits established in the 16th Century, and takes visitors through the fascinating world of cocktail mixing and bartending. The history of Netherlands' own spirit Genever, is also covered extensively in the museum. At the end of the tour, visitors get to choose a cocktail of their choice, which is then concocted by the bartenders. Enthusiasts can also learn bartending at the academy on site. The museum is available for private hire. Guests to the House of Bols must be age 18 or over.
