The Gustav-Lübcke-Museum possesses the largest collection pertaining to the history of Egypt, in Ruhr. Sprawling over 4,000 square meters (43055 square feet), the permanent exhibit features a detailed account of ancient Egypt, its dramatic history, archeology, art and applied sciences. The museum conducts several educational programs that offer a fun and educative experience for children of all ages. The museum is known to have undergone a major face-lift in 2015 and now features interactive displays and audio-guides.
