Located in German city of Gütersloh, Theater Gütersloh is a reputed theater known to host opera events and drama performances. The Paul-Thöne-Halle theater was closed, and its building was restored by architect Jörg Friedrich to be opened as Theater Gütersloh in 2010. The seating was put down to 530 from 700, while the height of the building was extended to construct a stylish skylobby. The first play at the theater after its reopening was Zigeunerjunge. The theater organizes annual Schultheatertage to encourage youth's participation in cultural plays.
