Named after the celebrated leader of the Mexican War of Independence, Estadio Hidalgo is primarily a football stadium with a maximum capacity for almost 30,000 spectators. Although it was built in 1993, the stadium features modern infrastructure facilities for players as well as spectators, owing to the recent renovations. Home ground to the famous top division football club - C.F. Pachuca, the stadium attracts a number of football fans during the league games.
