Kaiserstraße 38, Heilbronn, Germany, 74072
With origins dating back to the 11th Century, Kilianskirche is not only an important religious center but also a major landmark of Heilbronn. The iconic West Tower of the church is considered as a prominent Renaissance building of the region. Another noteworthy feature is the altar built by renowned late-Gothic sculptor and woodcarver- Hans Seyffer. It was constructed in 1498 and is known to be a masterpiece of its time. Other artworks include the tabernacle, the Olive reliefs, the epitaphs, beautiful stained-glass windows, portals and a Eberhard Friedrich Walcker organ. Over the years, the church has been subject to constant renovations and restorations.
