The Caffarella Park is a tranquil green oasis that boasts a variety of wildlife and plants. It was originally a part of the estate of Senator Herodes Atticus and later was supposed to be converted into an urban area but was saved and declared a part of the Parco Regionale Appia Antica. There are various buildings of archaeological interest around here, such as the Tomb of Annia Regilla, Valca Tower and Roman Cisern. Visit the Sacred Wood in the park to experience breathtaking vistas of the city.
