The Sly Fox is an attempt by Briton Mark Elliott to recreate the traditional gastropub of his native country in the American town of Southern Pines. The menu at this gastropub takes inspiration from French and Mediterranean cuisines, and also features extensive beer and wine selections. Open for lunch, dinner as well as Sunday brunch, the pub makes every attempt to source fresh produce. You can just as easily order traditional pub-grub like fish and chips with mushy peas (USD12.95) and shepherd's pie (USD12) as yellow fish curry (USD11.95) and chicken quesadilla (USD9.95).
