Nichols Hall opened in 2008 and is located in the campus of Harker Upper School. This eco-friendly science and technology center is named in honor of Howard Nichols, the former head of the school. Spread across 50,000 square feet (4645.15 square meters), this steel, glass and concrete building features a glass gazebo with an enormous pendulum following the rotation of the earth, a forum with a fixed radiant floor and curvilinear roof system and a 200-seat auditorium with a living roof. There are solar panels as well across the facility.
