Tucked inside the campus of The University of Vermont in Burlington, Centennial Field is a baseball stadium that is home to the Vermont Lake Monsters, playing in the New York Penn League and Oakland Athletics, playing in the Major League Baseball. Since its construction was finished in 1906, Centennial Field has undergone many reparation and renovation works making it the world-class baseball facility that it is now. Fans of baseball fill the stadium to the last seat during home matches of Vermont Lake Monsters and Oakland Athletics reflecting the love for the sport that the locals have. Matt Duffy, Larry Gardner and Ray Collins are few of the popular baseball athletes to grace this pitch who later went on to play professionally in the Major League Baseball.
