Located within the popular Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe theater, the Studio is a cozy venue where many of the theater company's plays take place. Unlike the Große Haus space which seats more than a thousand people, the studio space is more intimate with just 128 seats. Contemporary and experimental genres of drama are usually enacted on this stage. Die Lächerlichie Finsternis is one of the plays which is staged here on a frequent basis.
