Ravinia Park is home to the Ravinia Pavilion, one of the venue of the oldest outdoor music festival, the Ravinia Festival. It is the summerhouse of the Chicago Symphony. The park also doubles up as a picnic spot for families who like to spend some leisurely time amidst nature. During the Ravinia festival, families are allowed to bring their lawn accessories and food, and enjoy the festival. Alcohol is allowed in the park.
