Owing to its location behind the army barracks, this stadium is called Argosstadion Achter de Kazerne; Achter de Kazerne literally means behind the army barracks. Though the space no longer serves the army, locals still prefer to call it Argosstadion Achter de Kazerne. This football stadium is home to the Y.R.K.V. Mechelen club and can accommodate 13,213 spectators. Also, local matches, practice sessions of the home team and other sporting events are a regular feature here.
