Built in 1960, the Eisarena Salzburg is a multi-purpose indoor arena. It was completely renovated and refurbished in 2002, and now is equipped with modern facilities; the overhead roof ensures that there are no hassles during snow or rainfall. Home to the teams like EC Red Bull Salzburg ice hockey team, EC Red Bull Salzburg II, Ravens Salzburg and EC Oilers Salzburg, it is always abuzz with action. Apart from the regular practice sessions and matches, the arena also hosts training for amateurs on a regular basis; you can learn skating, curling and ice hockey from professional coaches.
