Located by the port in the city of Cartagena, Auditorio y Palacio de Congresos El Batel is an impressive example of modern architecture designed by well-known architect, José Selgas. The multipurpose event venue now serves as a theater, a conference venue and a concert hall. The venue is divided into nine rooms which, taken together, has the impressive capacity to hold 2800 people at the same time. Most concerts and theater shows take place in their two auditorium spaces while the smaller rooms are rented for conventions and conferences.
