Built in the year 2007 as the home ground for the Grambling State Tigers, is the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center. It is owned and managed by the Grambling State University and plays hosts to a number of basketball tournaments. Besides indoor sports, it is also used for local concerts and other private events. The center was named after the basketball coach Fred Hobdy.
