Also called Carrara Stadium, Metricon Stadium is counted as one of the premier sporting venues of the state. Established in the year 1987, it has played venue to several noted teams like Brisbane Bears, Gold Coast Chargers, Kangaroos and Gold Coast Titans, among others. Also home turf for the Gold Coast Football Club, serves as one of the locals for a number of QAFL tournaments, cricket leagues and rugby competitions.
