Located in a classical building in the heart of Berlin this theater was originally erected as the Friedrich-Wilhelmstädtisches Theater in 1850 and became the Deutsches Theater in 1883. It consists of two adjoining stages which share a classical facade. The theater features amazing productions of mostly classic pieces. The theater also hosts readings which generally take place on Sunday afternoons. Visitors can enjoy a meal in the in-house restaurant before a performance.
