Aggieville is a bustling neighborhood that can trace its origins back to 1898 when a bookstore was built for university students. Over the years, this area developed and was well-connected to the rest of the city with trolley lines. The 1950's witnessed a massive entry of cafes, bars and clubs which were frequented by the free-spirited student community. Riots broke out here in 1984 but this precinct moved on quickly and now stands as one of the most visited areas of the city. The best time to visit is during the "Little Apple New Year's Eve" celebration and the "St. Patrick's Day in the Ville" celebration.
