Inside the Philip Island Nature Park is a natural reserve set aside for the dwelling of largest colony of smallest penguins found nowhere else in the world. Penguins wander as far as 31.06 miles (50 kilometers) inside the reserve colony, which includes a major portion of the sea, to hunt for fishes and their march back to the burrows on the beach after sunset leads to a fine parade of these little birds. The park officials have recorded an average of 500 penguins that march daily on the beach and group tour to view the spectacle of Penguin Parade is also organized.
